Photographer Yao Lu has this to say: “Today, China is developing dramatically and many things are under constant construction. Many things have disappeared and continue to disappear.” Hence it’s ingenious for him to set these photos of local landfills in a manner inspired by traditional landscape paintings from the 10th century.
